Director

Jan van Gorkum (1983) is a filmmaker and writer. In 2010 he graduated as a filmmaker from the Utrecht School of the Arts (HKU). Jan has written and directed several award-winning short films, which have been screened at a large number of festivals around the world. He finds it interesting to combine genres in his films, but has a soft spot for dark humor, horror, fantasy and thriller. His first book was published in 2019: a quirky fantasy book titled Winged Darkness.
