Joe Fereday


Shooting-Director Joe Fereday is renowned for his high-end cinematography and impactful storytelling in the natural history and factual docs space. He was part of the Emmy award winning Cinematography team for 'David Attenborough: A Life on Our Planet' and has been travelling all over the globe filming on location for over 10 years.

More recently, Joe has come off of working on Netflix's 'Life on our Planet' which was a co-pro with Amblin, ILM and Silverback and Exec Produced by Stephen Spielberg. He secured funding for the short film called Rodent last year, which has been picked up by the esteemed strategists Festival Formula, who have added it to their slate for the festival circuit 2024/25.

He's no stranger to filming in unusual places including Chernobyl, VFX dinosaurs millions of years ago, the Prime Minister of New Zealand, Orangutans in Sumatra and flamingos in the Atacama mountains at 16000ft. And now, for this short film, an unused shop unit in Bristol.

Joe is currently working on a follow up series, Spielberg's, 'Life on Our Planet 2' (name TBC) for Netflix at Silverback Films. He is always keen to blur genres and push boundaries.

Carlos Alberto Fernandez Lopez


Carlos A.F. Lopez is a multifaceted filmmaker with over a decade of experience in the Seattle underground/DIY scene. His latest film, Dream Creep, premiered in the Midnight Shorts Program at Sundance Film Festival 2024.

 

His short film Ghosting the Party premiered at Nashville Film Festival 2017 and won a Special Jury Prize. Lopez produced The Procedure, winner of the Special Jury Prize for Best Short Fiction: US at the 2016 Sundance Film Festival and Harbor Island, winner of a Special Jury Award in the Independent Pilot Competition at SXSW 2023.

 

A first-generation Washingtonian born to a Filipino mother and Mexican father, their cultural influence is imbued throughout his work in nuanced ways that subvert what it means to be an artist of color in the independent film community.

 

Neil Ferron

Neil Ferron is a Seattle-born writer/director currently based in LA. His first feature script, FISHMONGER - a supernatural dark comedy about tentacle sex and self-acceptance - was the Grand Prize Winner of the 2021 Slamdance Screenplay Competition.

Prior to FISHMONGER, Neil’s work has won accolades in film, theater, and fiction. His work has been described as “wonderfully surreal” (Sub Pop), “shocking, horrific, and funny” (Rolling Stone), and a “Ph.D testing of what ‘works’ on the human consciousness” (Seattle Weekly).

Neil is a Directing Fellow at the American Film Institute (AFI) Conservatory. He holds a Masters in Theater from Trinity College Dublin, thanks to a George J. Mitchell Scholarship.

 

Jason Filiatrault

Jason Filiatrault’s credits include writing and co-producing on two seasons of the cult Netflix drama THE ORDER, award-winning feature ENTANGLEMENT (WGC Best Screenplay 2018), genre fave A CHRISTMAS HORROR STORY, and the upcoming feature ALL NIGHT WRONG (starring Oscar nominee Maria Bakalova & Severance’s Zach Cherry).

In addition to his writing projects, Jason is also in development on his feature directorial debut, NOW, I AM A BEAR, which will be filming in 2026.
